Remote Data Collection System for
Distributed Meters
Description:
This system is intended for applications of distributed
utilities where the entire load is measured by a single billing meter and the
gas, water or electricity used at each unit is measured by it’s own meter, such as an apartment
building, condominium or business park.
The data collection system consists of hardware and
software mounted in and near a centrally located PC.
Wiring from each of the meters is terminated at the supplied I/O
module, which is connected to the PC via a serial cable.
The system will keep account of the measured volume of each of the connected meters. The system can display and print monthly usage information and supply a statement for billing purposes.
